Tomorrow students need a sack lunch for our science trip to the park.

We will actually be eating at school, but too early for the kitchen to be serving lunch, so we will picnic it outside on our grounds before heading to the park.  No flip flops for this event, please.

In math today we did more with equivalent fractions.  Homework tonight includes twice the usual number of rows, as our week is shorter.  Homework test is on Friday.

We started new novels today.  Students got to choose from three choices.  They picked two or three partners that set goals for how much to read before they meet to discuss the book.  We will be doing this for the remainder of the year in reading.

Students are presenting book projects today.  About one half have already presented.  Most did a very thoughtful job.  Way to go!

We didn’t get to science yesterday, but we will today.  We will continue testing light curcuits today.

We are NOT doing any more spelling lists for the year….just reviewing some spelling rules and concepts.

We continue to read in our historical fiction stories set in the past in WA state for social studies.  The students seem to be enjoying them.

Students will get to do some poetry of their own choosing today and for the next few days.

Remember:  put on sunscreen and spray on the bug spray before you leave home tomorrow, and wear sensible shoes!
