Today is Camp Read: We rotate to rooms with a different reading theme in each room: poetry, non-fiction, picture books, your choice. We we also have a story telling session this afternoon. The 5th grade talent show is this afternoon as well.
Tomorrow: walk to the bowling alley (hopefully it is not raining, like today) and then come back to school. We will have time for novel work when we get back from bowling. We will eat our picnic lunch at school and have cooperative games in the afternoon.
Wednesday: Math card games. Students will learn several card games that emphasize the practicing of facts. Students will get a pack of cards and a booklet of games they can play this summer.
Thursday: Last novel group day. Turn in all books, clean room. Watch the film version of our read aloud book: Where the Red Fern Grows. Compare the two versions. Assembly.
Friday: Shortened day. Assembly, short time for goodbyes and report cards.
There is NO homework this week. No assignment sheets, no reading logs! Have a great week!
